Website health check for your Wix site

Wix builds most of your page with JavaScript after it loads. That is fine for Google — but it means most website checkers are reading something Google never sees.

What we check

The same checks we run on any site, plus the ones that matter particularly on Wix.

  • What your page says after it renders

This is the big one on Wix. Your title, description and headings are frequently written by scripts as the page loads. A checker that reads the raw file sees a nearly empty page and either panics or reports nothing at all. We load the page in a real browser and check the finished result — the same thing Google indexes.

  • Pages hidden from search in the editor

Wix has a per-page “Hide this page from search results” toggle. It is easy to leave on after building, and it removes the page from Google completely.

  • Default titles that were never changed

Pages still called “Home”, “Page 1” or your business name repeated on all nine pages. Near-identical titles are treated as duplicates and only one tends to be shown.

  • Missing or duplicated descriptions

Wix will happily publish without them. Google then writes its own snippet from whatever it finds on the page, which is often your cookie notice or your opening hours.

  • Your business details as structured data

Wix can output address, hours and phone in a form search engines read directly. Most sites never switch it on.

  • Mobile rendering and speed

Wix sites carry a lot of script. We measure what a phone on a normal connection actually experiences, not a desktop on fibre.

Wix’s menus change over time. If a path doesn’t match what you see, tell us and we’ll correct it in your report and on this page.

Why Wix sites confuse most checking tools

Open your Wix site, right-click, and choose “View page source”. What you will see is not your website — it is a small loader plus a large amount of script. Your actual content arrives a moment later, assembled in the browser.

Google handles this. It runs the JavaScript and indexes the finished page. But almost every free SEO checker does not: it downloads that first raw file, finds no heading, no description and barely any text, and reports a catastrophe. Or it reads a placeholder and reports success. Either way the report is about a version of your site that nobody ever sees.

This is the single reason we render every page in a real browser. On Wix it is not a nice extra — without it a report is close to meaningless.

What we can and cannot do on Wix

We cannot edit your Wix site. Wix does not provide a way for a third party to change your content without your account login, and we will not ask you for it.

So the work we do is: find the problem, write the exact replacement text for your business, and tell you which panel in the Wix editor it goes in — the paths in the table above. On a typical small Wix site that is fifteen minutes of pasting for a month of findings.

The three things worth checking yourself right now

One. In the Pages menu, click through every page and look at SEO Basics. Any page still showing a default title needs one written.

Two. On each of those panels, check the “Show this page in search results” toggle is on. A page toggled off is invisible no matter what else you do.

Three. Settings → SEO → Homepage. Wix treats the homepage separately, and it is the page most often left with a default title while every other page was done properly.

Then stop checking manually

That list is worth doing once. Doing it every month, across every page, catching the one your designer changed last week — that is what the subscription is for. Basic re-checks monthly, Pro weekly with alerts in between.

What we don't promise

  • No ranking guarantees. Nobody controls Google's rankings. Anyone who guarantees you the top spot is making it up.
  • No overnight results. Google has to re-crawl your site after a fix. That takes days or weeks, not hours.
  • We don't write your content. We fix what stops Google reading your site. We can't fix a site that has nothing to say.
  • No keyword or backlink research. That's not this product. If that's what you need, our comparison pages say which tool to buy instead.
